... a place like you've never seen

Here is where I'll be posting my poems and lyrics, once I get over the initial fright of actually posting my shit on the Internet.
In the meantime, here is an old music survey I found in my files which I am re-taking in honor of my turning eighteen on December 30.
Feel free to copy this and e-mail me your answers. I love to hear about other people's musical tastes and background. In fact, if you meet me, that's the first thing I may ask.
Enjoy.

1. WHAT WAS THE FIRST RECORD YOU OWNED (BOUGHT FOR YOU)?

Madonna, 'Like A Prayer'

2. WHAT WAS THE FIRST RECORD YOU EVER BOUGHT?

I believe it was something by Green Day.

3. IF YOU HAD SOMEONE OF THE OPPOSITE SEX COMING OVER AND YOU WANTED TO IMPRESS THEM, WHICH CDS WOULD YOU HIDE?

I'm not ashamed of any of my music.

4. IS THERE A SONG THAT REMINDS YOU MOST OF YOUR CHILDHOOD?

That old-school 80s rap . . . and Bohemian Rhapsody. I remember when Wayne's World came out we used to listen
to it nonstop.
And British New Wave, but of course I never stopped listening to that. ^__^

5. IF YOU COULD SPEND A NIGHT WITH FIVE MUSICAL ARTISTS -
THREE FOR THEIR MINDS AND TWO FOR THEIR BODIES - WHO
WOULD THEY BE?

Alright, I'm taking Chino Moreno for both, because
it's my survey.
Jonah Matranga for another mind/body because he's a beautiful, beautiful person.
Robert Smith for the third mind.
The second body. . . aw, man. . . Todd Wilkinson for his 'strapping physique'. :P [If you were on the Team Sleep BBS a while back you might get what I'm talking about]

6. IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT SONG WOULD PLAY OVER THE
FOLLOWING:

Opening: Smashing Pumpkins . . . Sneaker Pimps?
Love Scenes: This is dependent on there *being* love scenes: er, The Cure? Sade? Deftones? Don't know.
Closing: Led Zeppelin's 'Stairway To Heaven', because it's always at the end [woot for Sea Scouts]

7. IF APPLICABLE, NAME A SONG OR CONCERT THAT MOVED YOU TO
TEARS...

Jonah Matranga's cover of "Be Quiet And Drive [Far Away]"
and
the Team Sleep shows.

Both were fucking beautiful.

8. WHAT DO YOU LISTEN TO WHEN YOU ARE...

HAPPY: Chumbawamba, the Cure, Weezer, and Deftones
SAD: Sarah MacLachlan, Nine Inch Nails, emo, Deftones
ANGRY: mindless rapcore, Nine Inch Nails, old Deftones

9. NAME ONE MUSICAL ARTIST YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE BANISHED:

Need I say it? Gorillaz. Christ, I just can't take them anymore.

10. NAME ONE MUSICAL GENRE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE BANISHED:

Whatever genre which Missy Elliot's 'Get Ur Freak On' is a part of. Cocky-bitch hip hop? Don't know, just, away with it.

11. NAME A SONG YOU WOULD RATHER HEAR NEVER AGAIN:

'My Way', Limp Bizkit

12. WHAT NOW-DEFUNCT BAND WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO SEE
REUNITE (LIVING OR DEAD)?

Living, Rage Against The Machine and Far.
Dead [somewhat], Led Zeppelin, because I never did see them.

13. NAME AN ALBUM THAT IS PERFECT ALL THE WAY THROUGH - NO
FILLER, NO BAD STUFF.

Deftones 'White Pony' is a masterpiece.

14. MUSIC YOU LIKE THAT COULD BE CONSIDERED A GUILTY
PLEASURE:

I do like my happy mindless pop.

15. IF YOUR MUSIC COLLECTION WAS ABOUT TO GO UP IN FLAMES,
WHICH FIVE CDS WOULD YOU SAVE?

*copy of Adrenaline signed by Chino and Abe
*Holland import of Change single
*Jonah's Onelinedrawing Sketchy EP #1
*er . . . everything else is basically replaceable.

16. IS THERE A SONG THAT DESCRIBES YOU OR A SITUATION YOU'VE
BEEN IN SO WELL THAT YOU COULD HAVE WRITTEN IT?:

'Aeroplanes' by Onelinedrawing
'Drowning', Dashboard Confesssional.
No, wait:
'Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want' and 'I Know It's Over' by The Smiths

17. WHICH UNDERRATED ARTIST DESERVES MORE ATTENTION?

Jonah, but I wouldn't call him underRATED, just underGROUND.

18. HAS A SONG OR ARTIST CHANGED YOUR LIFE IN ANY WAY? IF SO, HOW?

You know what I'm going to say: Deftones. Their music, their lyrics, everything. Changed how I view the world, got me through rough times, gave me an idea of what I want to do for the rest of my life . . . got me a few friends, too. Deftones fans just sort of click.

19. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SOUNDTRACK?

Phantom Of The Opera Original London Cast, OR
Moulin Rouge

20. BEST MUSIC-RELATED MOVIE:

I don't know, man, Spinal Tap is pretty hardcore.

I guess The Beatle's 'Help!'

21. WHAT WOULD YOUR DREAM BAND BE?:

Chino, Jonah, Trent and Maynard singing something. Anything. Cereal commercials. Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. We've got John Bonham and Zach Hill and Abe Cunningham on the drums, we've got Les Claypool on bass . . . wow, that would be weird.
And I'm playing something in that odd assortment as well. The didgeredoo, shall we say. ^__~

22. DO YOU MISS THE DAYS WHEN MTV USED TO, LIKE, SHOW
VIDEOS AND STUFF?

Muy muy. Thank god for KaZaA.

24. CURRENT FAVORITE RADIO HIT:

Are there hits on the radio?

25. WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE ARTIST/BAND(S) OF ALL TIME?

This may shock you, but. . . **DEFTONES**
